All federally-owned AWOS (most installed in the late 80s to the mid 90s ) are in the process of getting upgraded by the FAA. This means all sites will be just like ASOS with a full complement of remarks and climo data. So you will see things like PK WND, TS and precip start/end times, SLP, and WSHFT along with 1, 3, 6, and 24 hr precip groups. They will still be called AWOS.
Here is a list of the 58 Federal AWOS sites that have been upgraded thus far. There are roughly 115 federal AWOS total in the U.S. The first one was upgraded on 8/6/15. All sites are scheduled to be upgraded by 9/30/17.
