9K4 to RCM - Warrensburg, MO
T43 to TFP - Ingleside, TX
T47 to CWC - Wichita Falls/Kickapoo, TX

RCM and CWC are on weather.noaa.gov, but have
not been added to NOAAPort yet. NCEP has been
notified.

Also, ASOS Metars are now available at these two
sites (making them 24 hr reporting):

AFF - Colorado Springs, CO
HMN - Alamogordo, NM

Additional Plains ASOS/AWOS

ASOS Metars now on-line and available:

FSI - Fort Sill, OK
DYS - Abilene/Dyess AFB, TX

Above two were not 24/7 for some time prior.

ABH - Ellicott/Bullseye, CO (new Metar site E of COS)

http://www.airnav.com/airport/CO90

Site id for Metars is not CO90 since it is not ICAO compliant.

AWOS Metars now on-line and available

ADS - Dallas/Addison, TX

Site sent manual Metars for only for part the day prior.
AWOS Metars take over during overnights now.

K46 - Blair, NE (new Metar site)

I believe this site's id will change to BTA in late December.

Metars for KAPY are not on NOAAPort yet, just the notam (AIDAP) feed. This is common when station IDs change. NCEP needs to add it to their directory so the Metars will be sent over NOAAPort. A request has been submitted for this to be done.

It is available via weather.noaa.gov, but this is not fed by NOAAPort.

ADDS has it as well, but again, not fed by the NOAAPort, which most public sites get.

New Plains AWOS Now Available

BPC - Pampa/Mesa Vista TX
BKN - Blackwell OK
GZL - Stigler OK
MDS - Madison SD
RCE - Oklahoma City (Yukon) OK

Unfortunately, these have not been added to NOAAPort for distribution
yet. I need to let NCEP know. However, the Metars are on
weather.noaa.gov, ADDS, and AIDAP.

New TX AWOS Site Now Available

DZB - Horseshoe Bay

Site ID still shows up as 4XS7 in the FAA database, but a recent Natl
Flight Data Digest officially noted this site ID has changed, and it is no
longer "Austin" as a political name location anymore (Austin is some 40
mi to the SE!)
http://www.airnav.com/airport/4XS7

That area of TX from Paducah/Haskell/Throckmorton/Olney/Seymour
is a curious gap, considering so much of other areas of Texas have
been covered w/ new sites this decade. There are airports in all these
towns.

Only others I know of that should be available soon are Austin/Executive Arpt
(6R4 soon to be EDC) and Ozona (OZA).

New TX AWOS Now Available (EDC)

EDC - Austin/Executive TX
http://www.airnav.com/airport/6R4

Formerly 6R4...has not changed in the AirNav database yet.

On another note, many AWOSs have had their software upgraded to report
6 hr max/min, calendar day max/min, and 3/6/24 hr pcpn groups. Some
examples from W TX sites below:

As far as I know, only sites operated by Vaisala are getting this upgrade. I do
not have a list of Vaisala only AWOS sites, but they do have several hundred
across the U.S.

The first link was fine and dandy, if you are an aviator or a storm chaser who likes to fly like "Dorothy"!

The second link can be tweaked to be used for your area of interest. Just take the link http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/KPTS.html and tweak it by cutting off the current/KPTS.html tag.

You will get a web page that will let you find your area of interest:

http://weather.noaa.gov/index.html

I was able to check my Lincoln NE location since we have freezing fog in the area. Thanks. :D

I post the airnav link so all can get exact lat/lon for Metar plotting purposes.
