I just saw the following two posts on the WX-CHASE mailing list:

WOW Now I heard it all!! On TWC there was a case of FAST ONES pulled in St Louis last nite and someone I heard broadcasting on it while was in another room called it a MILD tornado!!! Naw , I don't need a mild one in my library. Musta been just a dust swirl!!!!! From what I heard there was some ACTION from THE BOYZ in St Louis last nite , SOOO I would love to know which FAST ONE pulled was the MILD one!!!???? "T"

Don't know if this would apply in this case, but a sequence I worked in Aug of 1996 in N Mexico comes to mind. A stalled front E/W orientation had a north wind on which we positioned ourselves just behind. An old outflow boundary from BOYZ way down in Mexico finally came up on the front and created a squeeze play as the front was not gonna move any. A line of new BOYZ formed on the frontal boundary during the outflow squeeze play and a series of landspout FAST ONES were pulled. This was by Hope NM. SO in that case, yeah the north wind did enhance the situation.

Can anyone tell me what language this is? I can't seem to identify it. It's like some kind of bizarre meteorological nadsat crossed with a tangerine or something.

Nothing I've ever heard of before. Sounds like a few people made up an esoteric language that they use amongst themselves.

You are talking about Jack Corso. He's been on wx-chat for a long time, and he knows his stuff. Personally, I find his storm descriptions to be colorful and neat to read.

I remember Jack's storm descriptions way back when I first began chasing in the 90's and being subscribed to the WX-CHASE mailing list. Like James said, Jack has been around for a very long time... he was chasing well before I was even born.

Fun fact that some of you may not know, in 1996 Jack Corso was a guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3fAOlTnVwU

I have no doubt I would agree fully - if I could understand what he was saying.

I've picked up a little of the Corsonian lingo just from seeing his posts over the years, and it's basically pretty simple: "da boyz" are storm cells, if they go tornadic they "pull a fast one", and "white invaderz" refers to snow. That's about the extent of my knowledge, but I'm sure you can figure it out from there. Jack's posts are always fun to read.
