• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Wanted: Large picture of Greensburg damage

Each year during severe weather awareness week I do a short severe weather safety presentation where I work as well as give away NOAA Weather Radio's to promote severe weather safety. Generally I have a poster size picture of a storm or tornado that I took from the year before, but the big event for Kansas this past year was obviously the EF-5 that hit Greensburg and since I didn't get to chase that day I have no pictures or anything of either the storm or damage.. with that said.

What I would like to have is a fairly large poster on display of the damage in Greensburg as a result of the tornado. I would preferably like to have an aerial shot that shows a good portion of the town just so I can use that to demonstrate the power of tornadoes. It doesn't have to be an aerial shot, I'd like to have that but any good picture of the damage would work as well.

I know we have lots of talented photographers among us, if anyone has a picture of the damage that can be blown up to a fairly big size let me know.. I know there are pictures floating around on the internet, but I have to be respectful and pay the photographer for his work as using other people's photographs without permission does not fit into my beliefs... if you have a picture that YOU took, shoot me aPM with a price quote and I'll pay for it... if you want to leave your credit on it along with your site addy, that's fine too... it will only be used for promoting severe weather safety at work, so it's not anything that will be used to make profit at all.. it's completely non-profit.. so let me know.

Thanks!!!!!
