Okay...so now I know alittle more on the RFD...anyone want to re-educate me on a Wake Low?? We took a VERY strong hit not so long ago....is it something to report/document? I believe it is the warm air in the upper atmosphere rushing into the backside of the storm rapidly becoming rain cooled air and rushing out the backside in the opposite direction the storm is tracking. (I believe when we got hit the wake low winds were about 65-70mph) Please correct me if I'm wrong. thanks!! :o

Here is a paper by David Gaffin of NWSFO MEM regarding two wake low occurrances in 1995 and 1996. Pretty technical (for me, anyway...) read. But enlightening.
