I did a fair number of interviews with various chasers and vendors at the National Storm Chaser Convention this past weekend. It was a chance to show a side of chasing many don't often get to see, in a less formal setting. I'll post the video links here as I get them processed.

Right now you can see Verne Carlson's "Flying Monkey" helicopter as he tells us all about it:

A quick clip of Dan Holiday telling us about The Storm Report:

And a great interview with Mike Umscheid showing us his great photos and some personal insight on the Greensburg tornado even. As most of us know, he was the guy on the radar issuing the warnings that night.

More to come....

Speaking of David's interviews, here's a pic from one that is surly upcoming between he and Dr. Greg Forbes.

BTW, any of you guys that are featured in this stuff (or anyone else) are welcome to embed them in your websites/blogs. I have the embedding capability turned on there on YT. My goal with all of this was for the public to see another side of storm chasing that isn't usual seen outside our circles.

You got some very good stuff there David! I met John Utech in Amarillo last year at the NWS seminar. His booth was next to our tv station booth. I got to talking to him and he's a very nice guy.

EDIT: Boy does he know how to sell those products. In his interview with you, he never skipped a beat!

Was Mike Gibson there? And if he was did you get a chance to interview him David? Great interviews by the way.

Thanks for posting. I enjoyed the interviews and look forward to the others. I am bummed I missed the conference and hope to attend next year.

David,

Definitely some very amazing interviews here. Heck, with all of you folks live streaming and then reporting with video interviews, I saved myself a bunch of money by not attending. This is just as good, minus the mingling, making friends and partying. :)
