TS Erin

Erin's Effect

In the Houston area, we received about 6" of rain over 2 days. Some bad street flooding, but that happens here after a heavy dew.

Further down the coast, my fishing guide lives in Seadrift, just next to Port O'Connor, which is where Carla made landfall in 1961. He experienced winds of around 50 mph and received about 9" of rain in 24 hours. Could have been worse and may be by the middle of next week.

HPC still report Erin as a tropical depression and it looks stronger at this hour. Incredible.
