Does anyone know if these are available to order in the UK, or are they only available from tornado project online?

EDIT:- Does anyone here have any of these videos/DVDs, I've been meaning to get the video set for a few years now, but could never get round to ordering them, and I'm kinda wondering if I should bother ordering them or not?

Any reviews on this series are very much appreciated, as I'm keen to see if there's anything that I can learn about tornadogenisi, structure and dynamics, that I may not be aware of, which I'm sure there is still alot to learn.

Tornado Video Classics Vol. 1-3 is worth every penny (though I did buy mine for really cheap on Ebay/Amazon). Some of the best footage you will ever see. I have bought every old VHS storm video I have come across and TVC is the best.

As Wesley said already, the set is worth every penny and if you do happen to come across it, snatch it up immediately. Some of the footage you'll have seen before and some of it not. The good thing about it is some of that footage you would have seen before elsewhere, was more than likely just a clip and not the full length video. The TVC series and Secrets has some famous tornado clips in their entirety.

My parents bought me the entire set for Christmas when I was pretty young and that set really enhanced my interest in severe weather. The great thing about the series is that I still, years later, watch them every so often.

I have the tapes but would like to upgrade them to DVD. I tried calling the tel. number in his book but could not get through.

Willie - I've got all the TVC vids and Secrets - I ordered PAL copies, but almost any UK VCR will play NTSC these days. Still, you'd want to get DVDs I suppose, and NTSC should work in most UK DVD players.

TVC 1-3 is more entertainment than educational, but I'm sure you could probably learn some stuff from it though and like everyone has said, great video's that are definitely worth your money. I'm not sure if I've seen Secrets of the tornado or not, but just from the title it sounds like it has at least more educational value than TVC.

Hey Guys :)

Thank you for your replies, I really appreciate it alot :)

Hey Paul, how are ya buddy? :)

I've not got a VCR anymore as I gave it to a friend of mine, since he wanted it to transfer movies, etc from VHS by connectig the VCR toa recordable DVD player :)

I could get a VCR/DVD combo player, but that would more hassle and expence, since I play all my DVDs on my PC, which will play any reginaol format, either PAL or NTSC :)

The series is available on DVD, if you look at the top left corner of the page, there is a little button on the left side of the TPO logo, and it mentions on the little pop up window, that the TVC series is available on DVD, BUT!!!! there aren't any prices mentioned and so I don't know if the prices are the same for DVD version or if the DVD's are a little more expensive.

Here are some contact details from the site, which may be of some help to someone :)

I'd definitely recommend getting the DVDs instead of the tapes at this point in time. Each disc comes with a guide that has information on each tornado/video contained within. At least one disc also has a few historical tornado/spotter training films on it.

Hey Nick, thanks for the heads up buddy :)

I'm gonna be ordering the DVDs in a few weeks, but I'll obviously want to check out what it's gonna cost me for customs/duty tax as well as there seems to be tax for every damn thing here in the UK, and so, I'd rather know the full extent of ordering the DVDs before blasting in there to wind up in the bear's cage and wind up with a nasty suprise.

Thanks once again guys for your replies, I very much appreciate it and I'm looking forward to getting the DVDs :)
