Tornado near the Weston Pass fire in Colorado

I suspect the presence of the fire may have played some role in this - perhaps heat from the fire enhancing the updraft? Doubt it was purely a pyro-CB, as showers and thunderstorms are fairly widespread today over the Colorado mountains, with the first decent push of monsoon moisture of the season now getting under way.

I remember this.. I was out driving around doing errands(or whatever, don't remember what now)
And one of those emergency broadcast alerts came over the radio, it was sunny at the time & I was thinking 'just a test & they didn't say'??
but then they said "tornado warning...." When they said where it was located, I was a bit surprised (having been by that general area plenty of times) - one of those rare tornadoes in the mountains!

I do wonder if at minimum smoke & heat from the fire strengthened that storm?

funny thing is, the station I was listening to doesn't even come close to coming in there .LOL.
