I observed and videotaped a thundersnow event in Santa Fe, NM, the afternon of March 19, 2010. This is the most intense thundersnow I have seen, in terms of the frequency, amount, and closeness of the lightning - When viewing the video, note that often the thunder comes just a split-second after the lightning. This storm dropped about an inch of snow in a half hour, starting out as mostly graupel (snow pellets) and ending as ordinary snow.

Thats pretty cool, John. Every time I have seen thundersnow, its just been the flashes of the lightning (Which looks really cool at night). Never heard the thunder like that at all.

Incredible thundersnow! I have never seen anything like this. Thanks for sharing this awesome video!
