Yeah.... I can't believe it, but I saw it on TV this morning. One of those scrolling Marque headlines below the newscaster who is speaking about something else. If you ask me, put some more money into rapid warning systems and education.

"He said that major tornadoes in Tornado Alley are created from the violent clashes between the northbound warm air flow and southbound cold air flow."

WRONG!

WRONG!!! Tornadoes are formed by the violent clashes between the dry air on the east side of a dryline, and the very moist humid air on the west side of the dryline. :-)

WHAT??????? Oh.....I get......sarcasm.........never mind.

Hey, someone has to give Tornadofighters a run for the money!

Actually, you've got to wonder what effects a 300M high wall running along the OK / KS border might produce? As with orographic lift, the Tornado Wall might actually deflect a strong LLJ up and through whatever cap might be in place - it might actually enhance supercell formation to a degree! Hmmmm..... ;)

Exactly what I was thinking. I also think air would flow right over it. Pretty sure the Ozarks top 1,000 ft, but that doesn't stop Iowa from getting tornadoes. Sometimes...

I like the way this guy thinks. And to fund the wall, we can put giant ads on it. And ill make millions by painting a giant mural of Miley Cyrus that stretches the entire length of Kansas. :p
