Surface Weather Mobile is my new iOS app for looking at surface data (temperature, dewpoint, pressure, wind) from ASOS and AWOS stations.

So far it looks pretty good, but I'll write a review on App store once I use it for a while.

Picked it up the other day (paid) but it crashes a minute or 2 after opening. Using a 3GS with iOS6. How much memory does it need?

Running fine (but somewhat slow) on iPhone 4 with iOS6 here.
However, application (Surface) crashes on my iPod 4G with iOS6 for LowMemory

It would be interesting to run VM Tracker to see graphics memory usage
Long story short; this application isn't designed to be used on anything older than iPhone4.

Thanks for the feedback. It is definitely loading a ton of data for an embedded device to process so thats why it isn't as snappy as would be desirable. I will say that it is blazing fast on an iPhone 5 so I think the hardware is catching up to what I am throwing at it.

I just submitted an update to Apple that will reduce the memory usage a bit. Hopefully this will improve usability on older devices.
