Just wanted to leave a quick message to let everyone know that I have upgraded the website to use the Version 2.0 code that has been up for a while. Also, since the Google Map API has been released I've developed a hurricane tracking tool that will track this years hurricanes and add historical and other storms later this year.

To keep track of the changes that will be happening as well as proof of concept models (look for a neat one coming soon!), I've put up a blog that should keep visitors up to date on whats happening. It should also serve as a help area to help user familiarize themselves with the software.

To learn more about what features have been added, as well as just how the hurricane tool works and what everything is, be sure to check it out.

As always.. comments are HIGHLY wanted!

Also.. I've added another blog entry for people who want Google Maps added to their website. I notice that a lot of people have chasing websites that track their movements in the early Spring. I thought it woudl be cool to create a website for you guys to put in the different places you saw things, mark your location (including what you saw), and track your movements for that day. It would be a cool way to show your visitors just where you were and how you got there.

I havent even started developing something like that yet, but if people are interested in having a mapping site created for their site or company, please contact me. I'm fairly cheap :)

Are you good w/Google Maps?

I've been trying to do something (not weather related, but for work) but I can't get it to work. All it is is a page on our website where someone would type in the lat/long and the map would come up.

I got it to work, but instead of the map coming up w/in my website, when you click on the button I made for "get map", I get redirected to the Google website.

Would you be willing to look at it?

This is really impressive! I thought the original stormreportmap.com was good, and I prefer it to the SPC map as it is much more aesthetically pleasing. Tracking hurricanes is another great idea - good work!
