• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

So Im in the Bizzell putting together a report for my tech writing class. Its a project in which we have to come up with a tutorial about a topic within our major. One of the requirements for the project is that it needs to have at least 24 steps. Well since I couldnt come up with anything better, I decided on storm chasing, also since I actually have been doing that recently.
Anyway I do a google search on storm chase tutorials to see if there is already one online that I can use as a template. Well one of the first couple of links that came up led me to a page on a storm chase car show. And so Im like 'are you kidding me'? And on top of that, notice the location of these pics. Ive been here 6 years now and Ive never heard of such a thing. Someone enlighten me.

Heres the link:

They've done this a few times now, not sure how many years but I know they did it last year. I made a post about it a few months back, and I think someone else made a post about it a few days before the event.

I planned on going but had to back out :(

I like that storm chase jeep!

Here's the link to the site about it.. http://www.norman.noaa.gov/nwf07/

The first and second Chaser Car Shows were at the NWC Weather Festivals in 2006 and 2007.

Rick Smith made a thread on the 2007 storm chaser car show a month ago --> Storm Chaser Car Show - Oct 20.

From the 2006 show: National Weather Festival and Storm Chaser Car Show

so Chris, you're just out of the loop, I guess... ;)

Wasn't this started several years ago at the National Severe Weather Workshop at the US Postal training center? I think I remember something about it back from 2004 perhaps, though likely in different form than it exists today.
EDIT: I found a "vehicle display" deal on the NSWW2004 agenda page. LOL Not that it matters...
