ST Login Issues

For about the last year or so I have had login issues where I log in and I am taken back to the login page. In the beginning it was more random than anything else, but this is the first time I have logged on in roughly two weeks because of this. Anyone else having these problems? What can be done so that I can log on?

I also have had a problem. I have to try and log in 4 or 5 times before it will let me in. THANKS in advance for checking to see if there is a problem.

I'm not sure if this is the same issue as above, but I've noticed that if you goto http://stormtrack.org/ rather than http://www.stormtrack.org/ it shows me as logged out, even though if I click straight to the forums I am logged in.

If I goto www.stormtrack.org everything is normal.

Same here.

When I come to the website it shows me as im not signed in. I just click User CP on the left, it changes pages and it shows me as logged in. All is good from there. Im used to it.

Its a setting with the cookies is all. It just needs changed.

on occassion when I enter my username and password and I check the remember me box, i'll browse for a bit, then go do something else for 20 or 30 minutes and when I come back it has logged me out and I have to log back in but I never clicked the logout button, it's like it didn't remember that I checked the "remember me" box.

no biggie really, just thought I'd report the issue, it doesn't happen very often, maybe once or twice a month and seems to have just started doing it at the end of september.

www.stormtrack.org should redirect to stormtrack.org or vice-versa. It's bad for SEO otherwise and you end up with two different session cookies with the login problems described above.

i've been having some issues with Storm Track chat kicking me out of the chat room.

i've checked the remember me box when logging in and it was still booting me out about every 10-15 minutes last night when I was in the chat room, and was really getting annoying.

Yes, I also am still having problems loging in.It will take me 6 to 7 times to get loged in,or it won't let me in at all. It says I'am loged in but, I'am not! Can one of our site moderators help us please.THANK YOU, have a great day and Happy Holloween!!!

From what I just read from other users I would recommend this course of action. Log out from the ST Forum. Then, click this link http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/index.php and set it as a favorite (or bookmark) before you proceed. Once you have the bookmark or favorite created login and check the "remember me" box. Each time you go back to ST try using the favorite to get there. Let me know if the issue still exists after trying this. I've been using this method for nearly four years now and have never experienced what you described above. I hope this helps, but let me know if not.

I will second what Mark stated here. I've never had any issues after bookmarking Stormtrack and clicking the "remember me" box when logging in. If that doesn't work, it might possibly be an issue with your cookies.

I have found on numerous different computers that trying to long in with IE on www.stormtrack.org/ can be very buggy. I agree with Jesse and Mark. If you bookmark http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/index.php and log in from there the problems are no longer an issue.
