Spotter Network App On Droid

There is now a Spotter Network app for the droid..

Just look up "Storm Chaser" in the market..

My buddy Mike Brady developed it.. Works good so far!

Looks to me like this app simply gives position report, no function for submitting a severe report...correct? Glad to see someone working on the Android platform either way.

Will try to work on development of reporting system at some point down the road. But for now yes it only uploads position

Works fine but seem to not run as a background app in my limited testing.

Some people are having issues finding the app in the market I'm not sure why that is I know that Google was having issues last week with the market and maybe there not fully fixed.

The app should run fine as a background application just load you SN ID in the Preferences so it saves it and then click load id when you launch and click update. Then if you hit the the home button it should push it to the back and run until you kill the app or the GPS.

It might have quit since I tried using another app which also accessed the GPS. I will thinker some more with it. Otherwise it is fine.

Found it right after I posted last, and I ran it in the background most of the day on my drive home yesterday to test it out. I did have to "restart" the program a couple times to refresh, but otherwise it did the trick.

I just went to the Android market on my phone and searched for Storm Chaser and found it there. (A couple of ebooks on storm chasing also came up too.)

Same here...I've not tried going through my computer...
