• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Some of my Storm Pictures From 2009

Mods, hopefully it's okay for me to share these here. If not, please let me know.

Here are a few storm related pictures I have taken for anyone interested in seeing them. I realize they are not of the greatest quality (my wife likes to use her cellphone and feels uncomfortable using my digital SLR and I was using the video camera that day - oh well though).

All of these initial pictures are from a single event in Iowa (on 6-21-09 I believe). However, I do plan to add some pictures to this thread from different events in the near future. Some of the pictures are funnel clouds and some are pictures of possible tornadoes (but are hard to tell if they are on the ground or not - but several had reports of at least brief touchdowns). The last set of images is a sequence of a tornado tearing apart a hog barn near Dike, Iowa.

Feel free to ask my any questions and I will be more then happy to try to help out (not that I'm an expert but I may be able to help).

More to come...

Better pics than my phone will take, that's for sure! That was a messy storm and a frustrating chase...great work bagging the best tube from that storm.

Nice pictures Jeremy. Check out his video on his web page from this event (towards the end), it shows what looks like structure debris flying through the air. I haven't seen better video of this day.

Those pics look great Jeremy. I've tracked 4 tornados but I haven't been able to get any good pics as either they were HP or I couldn't get close enough without being in the way of pro chasers. Good Job.

Thank you everyone for the comments about the pictures. If you do happen to go to my site and check out that video, please be aware there are a few swear words here and there (mostly from my brother-in-law who is a goof ball and was very excited to see a tornado that close)...

Nice shots Jeremy. My favorites are #5 (funnel w/rain splattered) and of course the last two because the 'nado is really taking care of business.
