Yeah, I guess I'm just a winter freak! Counting down the days that I won't have to endure the throes of the summer doldrums. What I would give to be in the Tetons of northwestern Wyoming where a strong mid and upper level vortmax with an associated cold pool down to -15C at the 500mb. level is setting off lots of convection. Storms and area's of rain will continue tonight and with temperatures expected to fall into the 30's for places like Moose, Jackson on up to Yellowstone NP, chances are very good that the mountains above the those towns will see a coating of snow overnight and into tomorrow. Even Jackson itself just might get a sloppy mix of rain/snow.
The NWS office in Riverton, WY. is predicting up to 4" on the higher peaks! More snow is possible tomorrow night as well before temperatures return to seasonable levels by early next week.
Below is a link to many webcams in the area, some of these are high resolution. Look at the Brooks Lake Lodge one in particular where they are perched some 9000 feet ASL, most likely, they will get a coating between now and morning.
Enjoy... and stay cool!
