Skew-T"s @ hodographs

I've looked and all the links you guys provided on my last post(I aced the meted storm spotters quizes) I still don't really understand skew-T"s and hodographs. also has anyone chased in the Midwest? I've tried to look up the classic storm setup for Illinois, Indiana, Etc. Sorry for all the questions, just bear with me I'm just pretty much a rookie and 15.
