• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

I have been asked by the Director of Emergency Management for Woodward County, OK to please pass along to everyone that saw the post last night regarding a certain chaser/HAM before Stormtrack moderators took it down, that the message was a fake/fraud, did not come from their office or from the Director, Woodward City/County Office of Emergency Management, and is not in fact true.

He states to me in an email earlier:

"Aaron,

My office did not post that message nor did we authorize anyone to post such a message. If you have the capability please ask that they remove the post. We are getting a lot of flack from this and have notified authorities.

Thanks for letting me know about this."

Moderators, please allow this to stay up as that office has taken a lot of flack from the post apparently. I might also look into the person who posted the original composition.

We will allow this post to remain. However, any discussion regarding it that mentions anyone by name or any personal information it contained will be removed and possible result in an infraction.

The entire thing was meant to be an internal matter between the Woodward Office of Emergency Management and law enforcement agencies only, and at their request, we are disallowing discussion mentioning specific names or personal info. There is apparently some legal issues under investigation regarding this.

Aaron, I modified your post above mine to remove names.

Wow, that certainly puts a spin on what people have said about this.
What about the person from ST who stated they had witnessed some of the actions by the alleged offender?
If this was a fake / fraud, how could someone witness some of these actions?
Was the email a fake / fraud?
OR
Was the story / allegations a fake / fraud?
OR
Both?
I think I may be confused.

I don't know anything about the fake/fraud part of it. The communication that I received was that it was meant to be internal to their office and law enforcement and was not for public dissimination, and requested it be removed as such, which we most certainly complied with because of A) ST will not get tangled up in any legal issues and B) to promote positive storm chaser relations with the Woodward Office of Emergency Management.

Frankly, the entire thing was never meant to be any of our business.

Ok. Makes sense now. The email is NOT a fake / fraud, but was a internal matter along with Law Enforcement.
Aaron's post made it look like Jeff had possibly made it up.
Sorry Jeff. I knew I was confused.
Either way, thanks for letting us know there is a problem going on with false reporting. I know about three weeks ago I also heard that an area was wiped out and they were asking for all assistance and it was not true at all.
