• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Prepaid phone and data plans options???

I kept thinking I wanted to try this product, so I spent a lot of time reading after I queried the internet for "Straight Talk Reviews" and the preceding two posts from Jim and David seem to really represent the reviews on line. Straight Talk is either the most worthless POS ever made available to the public or it is the most marvelous offering of the century. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground on the review site.

If I can't get odds better than 50%, I don't believe I am interested in buying any product. It's unfortunate that it is turning out this way because the concept of a cheap monthly rate without a contract is something that I think a lot of the public would be interested in but not if it is just another scam. I think they will have to get better with time or they will blow away in the wind along with a number of other companies. I'll wait!

I think if you want the phone services only you will be okay, if it is the internet you want well good luck with that. Most of the people who are happy with it are using only the phone services, the people unhappy are dealing with the internet services and in lesser cases the porting of old phone numbers.

EDIT: As expected they haven't resolved the internet issue, they just closed the ticket as fixed when it hasn't been fixed at all. This is a typical no response complaint about ST, I am on the phone to tracfones corporate office now.

Another Edit, Turns out they couldn't answer the image problem either, I think I found it myself as a shortcoming in the browser. It will display an image on a page now but if a link leads directly to an image (not embedded in a page) it will not load it. I may try the $300 phone since I can return it anyways and see if it works, the card can be switched so maybe I will try that.

I went with the expensive phone and they got things switched over and all is finally good.
I was trying to get another phone for Barb and they are out of the 99$ slider phones at all wal-marts in my driving range and out of all of the better phones online as well. Straight talk is spreading like wildfire, everyone is dumping their over priced contract phones for straight talk.
