A Plaquemines parish official is on WWL right now live.

I missed the WWL piece. Any info on how many residents stayed behind? I think the population of the parish is around 30,000, please correct me if I am wrong.

Unlike NOLA where the water needs to be pumped out from behind the levees, in Plaquemines the levees only need to be breached to let the water out.

Has anybody heard about St. Bernard Parish? I imagine the situation is simliar to Plaquemines.
