Decided to start this thread since Friday is looking like it is going to be a chase parade in the panhandles. Please post anything that could be helpful to chasers such as construction, road closings, cellular service, etc. in this area since it has been a while since the area has had a good outbreak.

I should have done this last Saturday for NE Kansas!

Brandon and gang,

Don't forget that most McDonald's have WiFi in their stores now if you need a data stop. It's $2 to use for 2 hours. I will most likely be out chasing this weekend...

Has anyone seen this out in West Texas? I haven't detected any yet, but I haven't really been looking for it either.

Hwy between Shamrock and Canadian TX was under construction about a week ago when we were up there. One of those deals where they shut it down to one lane and hold you up until the escort vehicle comes to get you and take you through. Can't think of the Hwy # off hand, but it's the major road that runs between those two towns.

U.S. 83 was construction free between Canadian and Shamrock (and on to CDS) when I traversed it on Friday, 3 June.

That was on the 2nd, I guess they got done with it. Looked like they were redoing the shoulders or something.

If anyone happens to get down to the Lubbock area, 62/82 between Brownfield and Lubbock, where it crosses Hockely County is down to one lane in each direction, reduced speed 60 mph. And remember to avoid the entire west loop area on the west side of Lubbock.

Also, just south of Amarillo there is overpass construction still ongoing on I27 that takes all traffic onto the service roads.
