Confirmed Jeff, we can see it from Denton. We are moving towards the storm on 35-W. We can see the big anvil building from a short distance.

We moved south to track the storm as it approached the Fort Worth area when it first initiated, now we are back where we started from in Denton, or just west of there tracking the storm that split and moved north or ever so slightly west of north. It looks healthier on GRL3 than the storm to the south, so we will stay with this one and hope for the best. No lowerings evident yet on the SW corner of the storm (as in wall clouds). We're on 380 about 2 miles west of I-35 as of the time of this post.

What a fascinating left split to watch on GR! It appeared to have a very nice anticylconic meso with hook echo (on the North side of the storm!) and all as it moved to the NNW. That meso has weakened and the storm is now drifting to the NNE with a relatively weak cyclonic meso. I hope somebody has photos of the left split throughout it's lifecycle....

We are currently heading north on I35 towards Sanger to get a better view of the lightning - it is AWESOME. The cloud structure when illuminated is just showing it to be huge. The CGs are pretty incredible and the inter-cloud lightning is beautiful. Lots of crawlers coming out all over it. Am looking forward to parking up and trying to get some pictures!

Storm crossing the Red River east of I-35 has shown pretty good, but broad, rotation for quite a while now. It's alone, but too far from any radar site to sample at the lowest levels. You can also see the cold front nicely on TLX (at least on Level 2 data).
