We've updated the tool that switches between model runs. When switching between different model runs of the same forecast model, the new behavior is to keep the forecast hour valid at the same time. So, for example, if you're looking at a 24-hr forecast from the 12Z NAM and switch to the 00Z NAM from the night before, it will automatically switch the forecast hour for the 00Z NAM to 36 hours to match the 12Z NAM's 24 hour forecast. We're hoping people find this useful for more easily comparing different model runs. I posted a screen cap detailing this change graphically on the twisterdata facebook page:
