Interesting new product(s) out for mobile television options....

Not sure how suitable it would be for most chasers, but at least some new technology in mobile TV is coming about.

Looks a lot like www.hulu.com

Well except you don't pick what's showing where Flo looks to be live.

I'm not sure it looks anything at all like hulu... Hulu is a web service that has TV shows, FloTV uses cell technology to give you live TV on their equipment while roaming.

In any case the channel lineup doesn't look like it'd be of value for chasing, unless you want to watch TV on your downtime.

quoted me just as I edited :o I got to digging deeper and found it was live which is pretty cool. There are other options if you have a current release cell phone. Early next year flash player is coming to the android phones and that will open the gate for wide spread streaming. There are a few readily available apps out now that have live streaming TV free.

I must say, it has excellent coverage on the plains.

But regardless, it's cool and if I had money to throw around, I'd get it.

Look more into it. They provide the signal to verizon's v-cast mobile TV so I expect the signal to be pretty good even if the map isn't showing it very well.

Interesting to follow the progress, but personally I don't need yet another device. Under another thread (or weather forum), I pretty said I don't think TV is of any real value for chasing. I my mind it is more of a distraction during an active chase than a benefit. Many might like it for down time or waiting for initiation, but I find there are tons of other things to do...my first choice is talking with locals...that is always insightful and can be rather entertaining at times.
