• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

After chasing for the final time during the Super Tuesday Outbreak in AR/MS/AL....I decided that it was time to get another chase ride so I traded in the Mitsubishi Montero. Decided to go with a 5.3L V-8 Chevy Tahoe. This thing has a LOT more power than the old 3.5L V-6.

I have been looking all over the internet.....and I can't find a radio console for purchase for this vehicle. I see that havis shields has one for a '03-'07 model Tahoe, but nothing for the 2000. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? Thanks!

Nice Brett!

Aside from high gas prices, these types of vehicles come in nice for chasing. I love my Expedition, lots of room for the equipment.

Yes, it's very nice and the gas mileage is just about the same as my montero. Therefore, I'm not losing very much. Anyway, I don't quite see a console that will work in there. May have to give them a call or call Havis Shields to see if they have anything that will work with it.

My chase partner has one of these. It's great to ride in, fun to drive, but absolutely sucks arse on gas mileage. Even in 2004 on the gas prices then, it was all 3 of us could do to keep gas in it. We rarely go out in it other than locally now just for that reason.

Yeah.....I'm not as concerned about that gas since it seemed to get about the same mileage as my Montero. Did he happen to find a radio console for that thing though? I've already found the laptop mount but no console as of yet.

IMO, great vehicle!!! i have a 1999 suburban and i LOVE it... and since the Tahoe is in the same "sorta" category as the suburban it may have bad gas millage, but I'd rather pay for the extra gas and have all the room and this vehicle is the best car i have ever driven... i can drive it with 1 finger.... and not to mention it is really a stable car... unfortunately i have to get rid of it... going into the navy and i just bought a 34' gooseneck car trailer for my camaro and well, cant hook it up to the suburban...
