More reasons to be mad at the Spotter Network

The original comment I was making was they I didn't think it fair to loose the ability to track someone, a person or group of persons working with a well structured network. Most. if not all would not
submit a report via SN, but rather through one of the multiple systems we have in place.

Tim,

If you or your group want to use some of the SN's functionality, then take the test. If your group does not want to take the test, then don't do it and move along. It's as simple as that.

I don't understand why you are carrying on about this across multiple threads.

Maybe the name of this thread lead to it maybe?
" More reasons to be mad at the Spotter Network"

Moving along is good if you do not wish to change something
or try too.

For me the issue is settled.

Always takes two to tango.

I support this change as well. Real names give some accountability.

My situation is worse than Zach or Zarchry in an earlier post. My FCC callsign is registered to my legal name, David. Rick comes from my middle name "Derrick" and I have gone by Rick my entire life. I imagine this is relatively common.

Everyone knows me as Rick and wouldn't have a clue who David is. This includes the NWS as well as my local EOC where I serve as ARES liaison. Since I am kind of an "old timer", I pretty much have to stick with my nickname.

Since the SN form rejected my callsign entry, I just put my call in the "Note" section. I hope that this is OK.

Thanks, Tyler. Will do.

EDIT - That worked like a champ. This is a good tip for those of us that have nicknames.
