I've had the Palm Pre for about three months now and love it. I had a Treo before and adjusting to the smaller keyboard did take a couple weeks, but it isn't too bad. As far as using it for storm chasing, my favorite feature is the tethering capability (with the aid of the My Tether program from mytether.net). We use two laptops and now will be able to use the internet on both of them via the wireless tether capability. The latest Palm OS upgrade has made this process a little more difficult than it was in the fall, however their is a patch available to keep the program alive.
