Do you mean mixing ratio? It's a variable that is measured like any other. It's most commonly found on thermodynamic diagrams since it's independent of pressure.

If you mean mixing height (or mixed layer/stratum) take the expected high for the day and follow it up dry adiabatically until you meet the temperature profile on a forecast sounding. This is used all the time for fire weather and ventilation forecasts.
