• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Maximum Signal Amplifiers By SCT

You know what would be cool...is a way to record what reception you were getting to kinda share and have a collective data set.

Gordon...is plugging the thing in all I need to do? No computer side software right? I just haven't followed up yet since the pattern has been inactive...but I tried (and failed) to stream a nice fire not far from South Bend, KS today (pictures forthcoming). I need to do a lot more checking on the whole thing. The wireless (versus wired) amp purchase was a last minute decision.

after all the ooooohing and ahhhhhing I bought one from gordon's ebay store last night. I bought a Cyfres amp for 3g, data, and cell phone. Thanks Gordon, can't wait to try this out Monday.

Gordon,

If I were to order an in-vehicle amp kit with the NMO mount option, does it include the NMO mount & coax, as well as all necessary adapters? Or is it a standard PL-259 adapter?

Kit comes complete. with both antennas . NMO mount should read roof mont , comes with cable attached and whip , not interchangeable with other NMO mounts. Webmaster was supposed to have changed it , I just sent him another email reminding him. Sorry for the confusion.

Any chance you could get me a pictures of what the mount looks like? I just invested in a Millenicom 3G card, and I'm now looking to get the maximum range out of it.

go to antenna section of web site , it is the roof mount antenna , If you are looking to just do the card . I would tell you to just go with a direct connect amplifier such as the CA819, and save some money . If you want to do multiple devices then you should go wireless.

I want multiple-device capability. Being able to extend the range of my cell phone and the card at the same time are a must for me.

And I appreciate that - it says a lot about you as a seller. I'll be ordering one within the next few months - I don't want to run myself short on funds with new toys, never knowing what gas prices are going to do.

Then the wireless system is the way to go. Just do not like to oversell people.

Gordon,

I could not be more happy with my purchase! The only (very slight issue) I had was that I would occassionally see a fault in the high band, but a quick reset would remedy that. Another thing is that you had stated that the amplifier does not get "dangerously hot", but it does indeed get quite warm, (warmer than my Wilson), so I just want to ensure that is normal operation.

For anyone that is considering these amplifiers, don't wait, get them. The wireless amplifier absolutely blew my Wilson out of the water in signal strength and distance. Chasing in Central Nebraska which can be a true area for data starvation, or at least it was with my old Wilson amp. Yesterday with the Maximum Signal, I didn't lose my stream or data one time!

All-in-all great product, highly recommended!

if it gets warm , there must be a short in one of the antennas , try different antenna configurations , also a little more separation may be needed if you are getting default light . Let me know , try putting interior antenna up on firewall by gas and break pedals. If still getting warm I will send you another panel.
