So IWIN FINALLY switched over to weather.gov's main server? Wasn't that supposed to happen like 241 years ago? The plain text version was really helpful in dialup situations on the road. Bah.

Hmm. iwin.nws.noaa.gov is, indeed, reverting to a standard (conforms to weather.gov) web page.
It is not going to the old text version website. (snapshot from Archive.org below)

They kept IWIN going in text form (or with a text option) a lot longer than they had indicated, so I guess we couldn't expect it to last forever.
However, it was text! Bandwidth and storage requirements for that was so low, and traffic so sparse (mainly us folks in the field) that one wonders why it really needed to go.Similar threads
