• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Hello To Everyone, I have been an observer of Stormtrack for about 5 years and a member since 10/2007. I was born and raised in the DFW area and therefore exposed to various types of severe weather since I can remember. I began seriously studying the weather especially the different types of severe storms since about 1981 to present. I do not have any kind of meteorology degree but I did take several courses during my college days. I did a lot of storm chasing back in the late 1980's to the mid 1990's, but because of work and marriage my chasing days were reduced. I did however continue to study and learn about my life long passion. In my current line of employment I travel quite a bit in Oklahoma and in the Texas panhandle. I had intended to really start seriously chasing this past spring but during the good severe weather setup days it seemed I was always too tied up with work that I could not get away. Hopefully I will be able to chase more during this up comming season. One thing for certain is that ever since I started observing Stormtrack several years years ago, I have aquired tons of valuable information. I want to thank all of you who post on Stormtrack for the information and data links that you have shared with everyone. I also want to thank the moderators for granting me a membership to Stormtrack. I look forward to continue learning from everyone and maybe contributing on occasion. Again, thanks to everyone and it is wonderful to be a part of a great site. Sincerely, David Conaway
