If I'm not mistaken, I think this was the 1978, 2+ foot snowstorm, that hit Paducah, KY and much of the Ohio Valley. I was nine years old at the time.
My mother took this picture at my at grandmother's house. Eventually, the back porch roof gave way. (sigh) Such were the days back when it used to snow.

This photo was taken back in 2004, once again, when a record-breaking snowfall hit Paducah, KY.
My mother gets the photo credits again. Even though the embedded image displays 1994, her camera is so old, 1999 is the highest number it would allow, so it is indeed actually from the 2004 snowstorm.

On a serious note, great macro photography, John! Excellent clarity and DOF.

I'm really getting into marco photography. Not a whole lot of use with weather lol, but great for insects!!

Awesome pics everyone.

I had such a fascination with icicles when I was younger, almost an obsession, I would walk around my neighborhood and break off as many as I could and stick them in the snow on our front lawn. I got yelled at allot for tresspassing.

All my older pics are on film and not scanned but I got some recent ones from a freezing rain event I dove down to central IL for back in December. My van was quite the icicle host.
