• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

Hey Brandon, congratulations on the new vehicle, I think you will enjoy it. I had an '03 Liberty Renegade up until last fall, and it made a great chase vehicle. You didn't happen to buy it used did you? LOL It was even black like your new one;) Have fun with it!

Thanks! Haha, yeah, I bought er used.. I didnt see your name on the title, bummer! Hahah, Im glad to hear it made a good vehicle!

Take Care

That's why the renegades came with the little light covers... I would leave them off. I loved my pencil beam KCs that I had on my trail jeep, (that is until a tree took them out) On a desolate road at night, they would really light it up.

In OK you definitely need to make sure any auxillary lighting, even if it's street legal, is off when you are meeting a car, just like high beams. I was issued a written warning on a chase vacation (wasn't actively chasing at that time though) by a nice State Trooper.

Here in AL it's a little known law that any offroad lights must have covers on them while you are on the street. They never say anything to you though unless they are trying to find something...(Think Spring break at Gulf Shores/Orange Beach)

Enjoy your Jeep,... I know i've enjoyed both of mine. That isnt the diesel by any chance is it? those got great mileage.

yeah it was a Mercedes designed diesel. a product of Chrysler's previous merging with Daimler. Now that they are just chrysler, I believe they have dropped the diesel in the Libbys. The Grand Cherokee for 07 and 08 have a different Mercedes diesel however. Which may have to be my next chase rig. I was going to try and find a low mileage 01 (last year) regular Cheokee XJ. I just love the style of them. I have a 92 Cherokee now and it's got 205,000 miles on her.
