Good day everyone,
With Hurricane Season 2006 now upon us, and activity starting to heat up, I encourage anyone, especially those new, to fully understand what is involved in interception of a tropical system (this includes Pacific Typhoons as well).
The link to such a handy information source is below...
http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/index.php?...indpost&p=96853
Tropical cyclones around the world (same storm - 74 MPH and up - different name)!
Hurricane: North Atlantic, East and Central Pacific.
Typhoon: West Pacific.
Cyclone: South Pacific, Indian Ocean, Australia, and South Atlantic (rare!)
Willy-Willy: Austrailia
Thanks, and Good Luck!
