How would I go about getting my air pressure?

I just got a new weather station and trying to set it up. The default pressure on the station is rel 29.91 inHG. Is there a table some place on the net that has this info or do I need to start making some phone calls to the local news channel weather forecaster? For now I guess I will leave it at default and go ahead and mount the rest of the stuff to make sure its going to reach

Hi Allan,

Since I presume you're setting up a fixed station, you want to set to the sea level pressure, which is the green number in the following page. The NWS in Denver has this web page which should be what you need: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/bou/include/webpres.php?product=webpres.txt

The gradient over CO isn't too great at the moment, but wait for it to get really flat for the greatest accuracy if you're not that near one of the reporting stations. This is a good display of SLP from your neighbors at NCAR: http://www.rap.ucar.edu/weather/model/ruc00hr_sfc_wind.gif

Thanks, David. I am not too far from DIA, so I just used that number. Yeah, my station is fixed, well, sitting on my desk and the rest in the bedroom for now until I can install it. The station I got if you are interested is The Weather Channel kit 1910.
