• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

When we get a new group of members, I don't know which is worse - getting the threads from 6, 12, 18 months ago resurrected or getting the same topic posted again for the 6th time in 4 months. I guess it's going to be one or the other if a new member wants to talk about something we've discussed before, which is understandable. If I was new here, I wouldn't know what else to do. Catch 22 all around I guess.

It's a poll. Someone voted and it returned to the front. Fix that stupid problem and this would have been one less resurrected thread.

Yea, but if a "noob" would have started a similar thread I would bet that someone would link this one and wish people would search through the threads before posting a new one.

You just cant win.

But I dont like "E-thugging" [that is, talking trash and arguing over the internet] so Ill just answer the question for the sake of conversation.

Since I live in Chicago i save my days for the more significant events, I can take a couple 2-3 day mini chasecations at a last minute notice and my work understands [my cube is decked out with my photos so they all know.]

I do pray for more weekend events...a Wednesday event is the worst for me. I rolled over 3 days off and won 1 in a holiday raffle, so that gives me 4 extra days this year. Next year Ill have been at my company 5 years and Ill earn an extra 5 days off so that will be even more time

It's my fault!

I was going through old posts about five days ago. I answered a couple of the poll not realizing it would bring the up as "new posts". I didn't add any message, but I just can't resist answering a poll.

I think another one has already been closed/archived, I wouldn't be surprised if the same should be done here.

Well I just fixed the recurring poll/thread issue. Voting on polls should no longer refresh the thread.

New users coming on and digging up stuff is a common problem across all Internet forums. Usually members politely direct them to the handy dandy search button.

We may be big enough now to do what some large forums have done, and have some sticked FAQ threads for commonly asked questions. Need to visit with the rest of the ST team on that.

I am going to go ahead and close this thread since it was from a very old post regarding a specific day.
