• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

How many times is the AP going to fall for this photo

The moment I saw that news bulletin, I knew there would be a post about it on Stormtrack. :P

I'm sure they've been told it's not a tornado, but that doesn't make as much money.

And I hope they keep screwing it up. That's what they get for taking iReporter, WeatherWarrior, ViewerPics crap!

Excuse me....WHAT about my crap! Verne. I didn't think you to be that guy...but Really!!!!

I don't EVER miss represent what I post and you should know better!

I think he is referring to what TWC calls their photo submitters lol I believe they also use the term Weather Warriors.

They haven't done that in years, I had to tell TWC...someone was already using "Weather Warriors" as a business in the same sector.

Verne...if that's what you meant, my apologies. But it would be iWitnessWeather on TWC now.

Come on Jason, I think you need to look at the context of what he said. Why would he single you out with iReport and ViewerReport... and TWC was still using WeatherWarrior last year at this time, so it's not so long ago. ;)

Yes, TWC uses the term iWitness weather...but they call the people submitting photos and video on a daily basis for free their "weather warriors."

In generic terms I don't think I can prevent it (as I'm not a lawyer). But if they are using for anything beyond that I would like to know, but that would likely have to go in the copyright thread. When the time comes, I will look into it deeper. Bottomline for me, I just wanted to make sure Verne and others don't associate that aspect of photo misuse with my company.
