Hail Damage

Do a search in your area for a paintless dent removal place. They are pretty common and much cheaper than an auto body shop. If the hail was big enough to take out your windshield than a do-it-yourself fix won't be possible.

During the peak Hail season most traveler PDR guys will save you your duct... and fix the car, I have had minefixed 4 times in the last two years, car still looks brand new, and havn't payed a dime out of my pocket, just my 2pennys....

I was at a Mexican food joint in N. OKC a few weeks ago, came out to the car and found one of those fly by night hail repair business cards on the door.

I pulled it off and wadded it up and tosssed it in the backseat. Well the guy that stuck them all over the cars in the parking lot musta saw me and proceeded to come over and give me his line about getting the dents removed from my Explorer.

I told him that I used this vehicle to chase in and those dents were actually battle scars...............he proceeded to keep pitching his business to me then I interupted again and said "man, those dents are there on purpose, now f-ck off.............".

He mumbled something as he walked off............not sure what it was, and prolly a good thing I didn't hear it anyway as I was was already in dick mode.

If you go to the beach you might get wet, if you chase storms you might get hail damage...............lol.

There is a place in Lakewood off of 6th ave and Union next to Lakewood Fordland it is cheap and they do a pretty good job.

As has been mentioned before, hail damage is a natural risk of storm chasing. If you don't want/can't afford/aren't allowed to get hail damage, you need to give storms a wide berth. I won't say you can't or shouldn't chase, but you won't get any really close in shots. You'll avoid damage and hopefully you'll have enough time to backtrack should you find yourself in a dead end. It also helps to have a navigator to figure out your best options!

I suspect after today's storm in Texas, we're going to be hearing a lot more about hail damage!
