That's the NWS default server. You don't need to enter a URL.

Well, then something else must be wrong...because I'm getting zilch. I thought it might be that my buddies account (multi-license Allisonhouse I think). I actually just bought my own subscription to Allisonhouse...but haven't received any response there yet either (it says it takes 24h I think).

I know there are others that are free though...I've used them before, just don't remember now.

No...I never even get an email period. I think it has, in-part, to do with the fact I'm not the one making the purchase of the products/services. Never "forgot" the password because I've never gotten on in the first place.

I suppose since you signed up for AH it's a non issue now, once you hear back from Tyler & Co that is. Your ownership situation sounds unique, so I'm not sure I can offer you any useful advice other than what I attempted to provide in my original post. I checked the owner's forum for an answer to your question and I'll paraphrase what Mike said since a link won't help:

"You can use the public NWS server by unchecking the "Use this server" box in File->Configure Polling."

I also found this old URL for polling, but am not sure if it's still needed: http://www.opennoaaport.net/digatmos/nexrad/

Thanks Mark...appreciate it. Yeah, unchecking the box didn't seem to bring me anything. I'll try the link you gave. Haven't received and email from them yet...kinda suck royal since active weather will be in the area tomorrow...need to get something working...well would like to have...not really needed (I can chase without it).

I didn't get an email either, but my Paypal account did - once I'd discovered that, it was full steam ahead...
