Greensburg/Macksville story published in "Kansas Sheriffs"

Thanks for sharing Danny, a good read indeed. I’ve read previously about the death of the officer but this is the first I’ve read concerning efforts to save him. There were a lot of heroes surrounding the Greensburg event, including the deceased officer and those that tried to save his life, among them ST member Jason Bolt.

From the author of the article Kelon Parr:
At that very moment I realized what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I wanted be like the heroes that stood all around me. I wanted to go into law enforcement like my father. I want to be there for a person, step by step, breath by breath and tear by tear as they face their darkest hour. I want to do everything in my power to try to guide that person through the dark like so many Emergency Personal, did that night for many people.

Not only did that young man find his calling but I think he possesses the noble qualities inherent in many that serve the public in the line of duty.
