• After witnessing the continued decrease of involvement in the SpotterNetwork staff in serving SN members with troubleshooting issues recently, I have unilaterally decided to terminate the relationship between SpotterNetwork's support and Stormtrack. I have witnessed multiple users unable to receive support weeks after initiating help threads on the forum. I find this lack of response from SpotterNetwork officials disappointing and a failure to hold up their end of the agreement that was made years ago, before I took over management of this site. In my opinion, having Stormtrack users sit and wait for so long to receive help on SpotterNetwork issues on the Stormtrack forums reflects poorly not only on SpotterNetwork, but on Stormtrack and (by association) me as well. Since the issue has not been satisfactorily addressed, I no longer wish for the Stormtrack forum to be associated with SpotterNetwork.

I apologize to those who continue to have issues with the service and continue to see their issues left unaddressed. Please understand that the connection between ST and SN was put in place long before I had any say over it. But now that I am the "captain of this ship," it is within my right (nay, duty) to make adjustments as I see necessary. Ending this relationship is such an adjustment.

For those who continue to need help, I recommend navigating a web browswer to SpotterNetwork's About page, and seeking the individuals listed on that page for all further inquiries about SpotterNetwork.

From this moment forward, the SpotterNetwork sub-forum has been hidden/deleted and there will be no assurance that any SpotterNetwork issues brought up in any of Stormtrack's other sub-forums will be addressed. Do not rely on Stormtrack for help with SpotterNetwork issues.

    Sincerely, Jeff D.

lets everyone give big props to Gabe Garfield who called this ice storm 10 days before this started. I know b/c I was there and heard it in person. While he didn't "call" it, he did say theres a chance of an ice storm late next week. Those were his words during the Cowboys/Packers game. I know some people on this forum that cant quote me on that. All WFOs take notice, hire this guy.

While we're giving props, I'll also throw some towards Ed Kieser, the chief met. at WILL where I'm employed. He was talking ice storm for this weekend over a week ago, all the while every other local media outlet, as well as the local NWS were still calling for us to be basking in the 50s until a couple days before the event.

who called this ice storm ... While he didn't "call" it ... cant quote me on that

He called it but didn't, and we can't quote you on that.

For us not watching, why was he talking about ice storms at a NFL game? Was it carried on the network feed or are you talking about a local newscast?

probably more of that luck action then skill on that 10 day...

reminds me of that tornado that come into jonesboro...i was tryin to get up there mainly as a place to set up for the day, and use the librarys you know...i kept telling everyone 5 days out "jonesboro!" "jonesboro!"

honestly, i really didnt expect anything to happen...and i wasnt picking things out like that...it just happened...

two reports come out of the city itself, i was shocked! its too bad i didnt listen to myself, i guess it was just one of those lucky guesses...if anyone could nail it down proper like that, im sure they would already be doing it...
