A French production company is looking for a guide to take them our for a few days after June 9th. I'm sure this would be a payed position but we did not discuss fees. If this is something you would be like to do - please PM me and I'll put you in touch with them. We are already busy for the season and can't help them. Here's more of the details:
Thank you for helping us find a storm chaser! Here are in a few words what we are looking for!
As I told you on the phone, we are preparing for France 2, different reports in the USA on tornadoes and we would like a professional storm chaser to accompany us for all of them. Two of these reports will be dedicated to the storm chaser.
A. Tornado, storm chaser
The first two reports would be dedicated to: “The life of a storm chaserâ€
Example of questions: How do you become a storm chaser? Is it a passion?
1/ In the first report, we would like to approach the tornado on foot, and film the storm chaser explaining to the anchorman, how the storm chasers are able to find and “catch†the Storm,
2/ In the second report, we would like to do a sequence “ in search of a tornado†: what instruments the storm chaser uses, what one has to do in case a tornado arrives.
B. The tornadoes’ victims
The two reports that follow will be dedicated to the victims. We would like the storm chaser to bring us to a city that has just got devastated by a tornado.
1/ In the city that just got devastated, the anchorman accompanies the Emergency rescue, and talks to the victims. (Would the storm chaser be ready to get us in contact with the Emergency rescue and victims, help us find testimonies, would that pose a problem to you ?)
2/ In this same city, we would like to spend a day or a few hours with a family that has just lost everything.
C. Presenting the TV show
We would like you to bring us in front of a tornado, and as the tornado is arriving the anchorman will present the summary of the television show.
We would like to come for five days anytime starting near the 9th June.
What are the conditions?
Can you assure us that we will see tornadoes?
Would you be ready to get us in contact with the Emergency rescue and victims, help us find testimonies, would that pose a problem to you ?
For the material, we would like to attach a camera to the front of your car, would that be possible?
Is a tornado electromagnetic? Do we need a special material to protect our cameras and sound?
