Folks,

I'm trying to find some recommended antenna mounts that will allow me to drop my antennas flat against the roof; in case I need to pull into the garage or go underneath something like the roof of a parking garage.

Any company you think it's best to look?

Jerry, I have a Diamond NR770 antenna that has the ability to fold over. Mind you, this is not a mount, but an actual antenna. There is approx. 3" that sticks up, the rest folds over when necessary. There are a number of actual mounts that will allow you to fold over, but this is another option. Good luck!

Generally the antenna themselves fold down more often than the mounts. Unless it's some sort of lip mount maybe. I have a diamond K400S lip mount (http://www.universal-radio.com/catalog/hamantm/diamx.html) that might possibly fold down, but you need to use the allen wrench and it'd be a pain in the butt. I also had a fold down antenna on that mount that I had to fold down all the time. Also a pain in the butt, but only if you had to do it all the time like I did. ;)

Check out the Diamond K9000TM motorized mount. It's a fold down mount that has a built in motor, thus you don't even have to get out of the car.

I've got an ANLI WH-711 VHF antenna that folds over.

Infact, it's for sale, along with the coax and hole mount, if you're interested :D

I've been using a Comet RS-720 mount for the past 2 years with no problems at all. My mobile setup, up until a few weeks ago, consisted of a Larsen 2/70 NMO that needed to be folded over every day when I came to work. I've never had any problems with it whatsoever and it has performed way beyond expectations. Max...

Like others have said most of the NMO and UHF-PL mount folding antennas incorporate the mechanism into the antenna iteself. I've used the Comet folding ones with good results. I did find this foldover adapter though for 3/8" stud mounts, sold at Walcott:
