I will go ahead and start this thread. I am sure some of you have pictures of the colors of Fall in your neck of the woods. Here is one that I feel is the best overall picture I have ever taken...
Findlay, Ohio. October 25, 2015.
Mt. Sneffels Wilderness Area @ the Dallas Divide between Ridgway and Telluride. Whilst these are just cell phone pics. I haven’t processed the dslr versions yet as I just got home this morning and had to unload the car and get ready for work.
Already seeing some colors in patchy spots here in West Central Illinois. These were taken a couple mornings ago when the temperature dipped down to around 26 degrees at Spring Lake Park NW of Macomb, IL.
These were all shot with my Sony A1 and 100-400mm GM lens on October 8, 2022.
We had one of the first major cold fronts of the fall push through yesterday bringing showers and thunderstorms to the area in the morning, followed by clear skies and windy conditions. I shot a few fall foilage pics along 136 near Carthage, IL while searching for some owls in the area. These are un-edited JPEGs out of my camera, save for me adding the watermark (10/12/22):
I took a couple the day before (10/11/22) on the Western Illinois University campus. We likely won't hit peak color until the last week of October, so still a ways to go, but already looks fantastic out there!
We are at peak fall foilage here in Western IL. I took several photographs after a rainy/windy Tuesday, yesterday morning. These are largely from around Argyle Lake State Park with a few near Spring Lake outside Macomb/Colchester, IL
