Has this become an elite forum for serious chasers only?
Just wondering because I made a general joking comment, not directed at any person and consequently received several direct personal attacks. Mostly questioning my skill and experience as a meteorologist.
I'll admit. I live in CT and I don't do much storm chasing in this part of the world. Most of the time I'm stuck here waiting for any sort of exciting weather to come to me.
Now, to my defense. During the big Memorial Day weekend outbreak (was it 2004?) I drove alone from CT to the Mississippi for a chance to chase storms for one day. I saw some good weather. Not too many pictures since I was driving the whole time. My other two trips to the plains went ok. We chased storms on the first day of each trip then got shutdown by clear weather. That's life when you plan trips months in advance and live a thousand miles away.
