Dust Column?

I'm still trying to figure out what this was... a dust column? Look at the large dust plume looking thing on the far left side of the photo:

The storm appeared to have to areas of rotation... including the part where the dust kickup is... what was that?

Can't say for certain if it is dust, but it could be anything including rain shaft or smoke.

To me it looks more like a rain shaft, but I could be wrong.

The feature just to the left of the one sizeable tree standing up to the right of the roadway looks more interesting from a tornadic point of view.

... yeah, well I pulled it into Photo-Paint and what I thought was a small funnel is a bare tree :? . Nonetheless, I'd guess you're looking about west, and that looks like the action area consistent with the puff of dust (rain shaft?) swinging around from the RFD - clear slot right in the middle of the picture. Either that or it's just some wishful thinking plus imagination.

My guess is rain shaft. Didn't impress me as far as any indication of rotation. Rain shafts can be pretty transparent at times...just kind of shadowy-looking.
