Damn. I think the last place I would want to be is under either those electrical towers or powerlines. Whoever shot that video should consider themselves lucky IMO. Not to mention the debris that was kicking up.

When I first saw on the news that there was a tornado in Japan I thought it was probably a weak, low CAPE/strong shear-type tornado. That clearly is not the case.

Thanks Michael! I would imagine that there's probably some coastal or mountain interaction at play here as well, since the larger scale surface winds seem to be somewhat veered.
