Thanks for the pics. Re: wind damage... Overall, the structural damage at the "ground zero" locations (very close to or just left of the center) is not as heavy as I expected for a 130- or 135-kt cyclone. Cardwell-- about 20 mi S of the center-- seems like it got raked pretty good, with scattered unroofings and stripped vegetation. However, I notice even there that the big, fancy homes in the marina right on the waterfront look unscathed. I'm going to look for more imagery-- to see if we can get a better feel for what happened, exactly.
